Functie

We are seeking a passionate and precise Creative Pattern Maker to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Creative Director, Senior Pattern Makers and Development team to create and perfect each garment in house. From starting point of each season, new shape experiments until production fitting finalizations you’ll be involved together with a highly inspiring team of young professionals at a fast growing fashion house.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft Technical Patterns: Develop initial paper and/or digital patterns from creative design sketches, technical drawings, and draping concepts
  • Execute Draping: Interpret volume, proportion, and silhouette through hands-on draping on studio mannequins
  • Create Toiles: Cut, sew, and assemble first-prototype toiles and mock-ups to evaluate design accuracy
  • Refine Garment Fit: Participate in model fittings for development and production stage with a hands on mentality and eye for everydetail, note design alterations, and accurately apply pattern adjustments

Functie-eisen

  • Education: Degree in Fashion Design/(technical) Pattern Making. 
  • Fashion Experience: Strong understanding of luxury womenswear construction, finishings, and delicate fabrics (e.g., silk, chiffon, structured wools)
  • Preferably 3 years of experience in high fashion
  • Drafting Expertise: Proficient in both traditional manual pattern drafting and digital CAD software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, Clo3D)
  • A strong understanding and feeling for proportions and shape is required
  • Artistic Eye: Ability to interpret abstract creative concepts and translate them into proportional garment shapes into the design language of the brand
  • Team Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to work seamlessly within a fast-paced, highly creative atelier environment
